Old Point Comfort Yacht Club

Old Point Comfort Yacht Club is located at Fort Monroe, in Hampton, VA. We are an organization devoted to having fun on the water with friends. We race sailboats, cruise and party. What's not to like? There aren't any stuffed shirts in our club; any of our members will help you out if you need a hand dropping a mast or installing a fitting.
Joining OPCYC: Although most of our members are active or retired military, you don't have to be military to join. The cost membership in OPCYC is a whopping $30/year ($45 your first year includes an OPCYC Burgee), because all our work is done by volunteers.

Fort Monroe's Casemate Museum

Completed in 1834, Fort Monroe is one of the most historic attractions the Army has to offer. It is the largest stone fort in America, as well as the only one surrounded by a moat. The fort is open to the public, unless there is a security check in progress. Within the fort is the Casemate Museum, which gives a history of the fort and features Jefferson Davis's prison cell, Robert E. Lee's living quarters, and a slew of old military uniforms and supplies. For more information please call (757)788-3391 or (757)788-3935.

Hours of Operation
Open year round daily 10:30AM - 4:30PM. Admission is free. Museum is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Religious Services on Fort Monroe - The Chapel of the Centurion is the oldest wooden military chapel in continuous use (1858) in the United States Army.
